Privacy Policy — Bes

• About your child: name, date of birth, sex, and a photo if you add one.
• The journal: feeds (including amounts and what was in the bottle), sleep, nappies, pumping, solid foods and reactions to them, growth measurements, developmental milestones, vaccination dates.
• Health entries: temperatures, medicines and doses, symptoms, notes.
• Memories: photos and text you write.
• Your settings: units, language, reminders, daily-rhythm choices.

All of this is stored in a database file inside the app's own private storage. Other apps cannot read it.

Nothing, until you sign in. Signing in is optional and the app is fully usable without it.

Once you sign in with your email address:

• Your email address is stored so we can identify your account and send sign-in links. We do not send marketing email.
• Your journal (everything in the section above) is copied to our database so that the people you invite into your family can see and add to it.
• Photos are uploaded only if you turn photo backup on. They are stored in a private bucket that only members of your family can read.

Data is stored on servers operated by Supabase in Singapore (ap-southeast-1). Access is restricted by row-level security: a request can only ever read rows belonging to a family the requester is a member of. All traffic is over HTTPS.

If you use the microphone button, speech is turned into text by your phone's own speech recogniser. Depending on your device and settings, your operating system may send audio to Apple or Google for recognition — that is your phone's behaviour, governed by their privacy policies, not something Bes controls or receives. Bes stores only the resulting text entry.

Bes shows a banner from Google AdMob to people who are not on the paid tier. Every ad request is marked non-personalised: ads are never selected using anything you have recorded in Bes.

Because Bes does not request personalised ads, it does not show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt and does not use the advertising identifier for tracking. Google still receives technical data with each request — a device identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and device type — to serve and measure the ad. See Google's advertising policy.

Ads never appear in the illness and medicine section, in simple mode, at night (22:00–06:00), or for anyone on the paid tier.

Bes has no analytics and no crash reporting. There is no analytics SDK of any kind. We do not know which screens you open, or how often you use the app.

• Supabase — database, authentication and photo storage. Only after sign-in.
• jsDelivr — if you export a doctor's report in Japanese, Korean or Chinese, the app asks first, then downloads a font from a public CDN. The download reveals your IP address to that CDN and contains none of your data.

Those are the only two. There are no others.

Bes is for adults — parents and carers recording information about a child. It is not directed at children and children are not the users. The data is about your child, which is why it is treated as sensitive throughout: it is not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not used to select ads.

From inside the app: Settings → Family & sync → Delete account.

This removes your account and your membership of the family. If you are the last member of that family, the family's journal on our servers is deleted with it. If other members remain, the shared journal stays with them — it is theirs too. The copy on your own phone is not touched; you can carry on using Bes offline, or uninstall the app to remove it.

By email: write to admin@miqsoft.com from the address you signed in with. We will delete the account within 30 days and confirm when it is done.

Uninstalling the app removes everything stored on that phone.

Journal data is kept until you delete it or delete your account. Sign-in tokens expire on their own. Deleted rows are removed from backups within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to processing. The app itself covers most of this: Settings → Export data produces a CSV of everything, and the delete option above removes it. For anything else, write to admin@miqsoft.com.

If you are in the EEA or UK, our lawful basis is performance of a contract — to provide the sync you asked for.

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
